WELCOME

A Word of Welcome

The Faculty of Nursing and Health Sciences warmly welcomes all interested students who feel the call to serve our people in the public and private health sector, to join us as you begin your tertiary education journey.

At FNHS there are two schools: the Queen Sālote School of Nursing and Midwifery, which offers quality nursing and midwifery programmes leading to registration as a Registered Nurse or Registered Midwife in Tonga, and the School of Health Sciences, which provides study opportunities for students who wish to pursue careers in Allied Health Departments of the health care sector.

We currently offer programmes in Pharmacy, Medical Laboratory Technology and Oral Health. We collaborate with health care agencies like Vaiola Hospital, the Health Centers, and other institutions such as schools, churches, and community groups to support our students in their studies.

We are committed to training and developing our students to serve the people safely with confidence, sound judgement, and resilience. Our students enjoy an active and lively student life that encourages participation in health and wellbeing activities, sports, social events and singing in the school’s choir.

We hope you will make a choice to be part of our health education community.
