Ako Tu’uloa, also known as the Open Access School, provides flexible educational pathways for students who wish to complete their formal secondary education or begin an entry-level pathway into other academic and vocational programmes offered by Tonga National University.
Ako Tu’uloa’s programmes may vary from one year to another as they respond to the educational needs of students. The school supports students who wish to complete formal secondary education, start entry-level pathways into other TNU academic and vocational programmes, or undertake National Certificate qualifications offered by TNQAB as part of their university preparatory programme.

This programme provides trainees with knowledge about sustainable energy and its applications in Tonga. It introduces learners to basic sustainable energy concepts and supports entry-level preparation for further study, vocational pathways, and practical understanding of energy use in the local context.
